Welcome to the Physical Science Field Trips section, where students can explore the fundamental principles of physics, chemistry, and earth sciences through hands-on, real-world experiences. These trips provide a deeper understanding of the forces and materials that shape our world by visiting science museums, research labs, observatories, and industrial sites. Students will engage with topics like motion, energy, matter, and geology, all while connecting classroom lessons to practical applications in the physical sciences. Designed to align with curriculum standards, these trips make complex scientific concepts exciting and accessible.
Launch your students on an unforgettable journey at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC) in Huntsville, Alabama. As a premier destination for inspiring future scientists and engineers, the USSRC showcases the history and future of space exploration through world-class exhibits.
Marvel at the Saturn V Rocket, a National Historic Landmark, or explore the Apollo 16 capsule and a full shuttle stack. From the daily life of astronauts in the “ISS: Science on Orbit” exhibit to the cutting-edge technology in “Dare to Explore,” your students will experience human ingenuity firsthand.
