Immersive & Hands-On Learning
Planning a field trip to the Mississippi Aquarium is easy, with bus parking, group check-in and boxed lunch options. And group rates are available for parties of 15 or more. When students arrive, they will encounter more than 1 million gallons of indoor and outdoor habitats, featuring over 200 freshwater and saltwater species. An unforgettable adventure awaits students as they learn about the conservation efforts, animal rehabilitation and marine research in Mississippi.
Field trips are guided or self-guided tours for hands-on learning. If you can’t come to the aquarium, then educational outreach and virtual learning programs are also available. Through touch pools, instructor-led programs, and informational exhibits, the Mississippi Aquarium meets STEM curriculum requirements. Additionally, dolphin and penguin experiences offer up-close, personal encounters. Students will gain a greater understanding and appreciation for aquatic life, conservation efforts, and more.
