Located in Central Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is a family amusement and water park that is perfect for students and educators alike. Offering unique experiences for everyone, students can ride thrilling roller coasters, attend entertaining and educational shows, eat at the Hershey flagship restaurant, The ChocolatierSM, and play a variety of games throughout the park.
Whether you’re a student or a teacher, Hersheypark has something for everyone. For groups of 15 or more, Hersheypark offers affordable 1-Day Dated Group Tickets when you purchase online. And as a thank you to the people who make the trip to Hersheypark possible, you can receive a Bus Driver Thank You voucher (2 tickets for a future visit) with every order if you’re planning to travel with groups of 40 or more. If you want to make Hersheypark an annual field trip, after your first trip your group will earn 2 free tickets to use the next time you visit.
Traveling with students means finding things that cater to their different interests. At Hersheypark, they offer multiple topics for their Education Days: STEM & Physics, Zoology, and Theme Park & Hospitality Management. STEM & Physics Education Days teach students what goes into planning, building, and opening a ride at Hersheypark, where they’ll learn directly from the park’s Director of Engineering. The Hersheypark website also offers a physics workbook, online videos, and activity pages in case you’re not visiting on an Education Day. Zoology Education Days include free, included access to ZooAmerica® North American Wildlife Park through the Hersheypark bridge during public operating hours. Students will explore all five North American habitats and see animals such as bears, river otters, lizards, mountain lions, and gray wolves.
Hersheypark also offers a daily, educational Aquatheatre show called “Our Friends from the Sea”, featuring California sea lions and Atlantic harbor seals. Students can ask the Aquatheatre trainers questions to learn more about the animals or how to take care of them. Theme Park & Hospitality Management education lets students learn about Hershey Entertainment & Resorts and what it takes to deliver a memorable experience for every guest, right from the classroom. The Hersheypark website offers five short videos on different hospitality categories and includes a downloadable scavenger hunt that students can complete digitally.
Group tickets are non-refundable, so verify attendance for the scheduled date on the ticket, as tickets will expire on the date indicated. Ticket prices and availability for shows and attractions are subject to change, as attractions depend on weather conditions. Tickets are not valid at the ZooAmerica entrance to enter Hersheypark. ZooAmerica is free for same-day visitors to Hersheypark when entered from within Hersheypark.
From learning behind the scenes of an amusement park to riding rollercoasters and water rides, Hersheypark offers an amazing experience for students and educators alike. Even if you can’t visit the park on education days, the Hersheypark website offers free educational materials so your students can still learn from what the park has to offer in the classroom.
