Summary

HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology offers a one-of-a-kind experience for students to explore genetics and biotechnology careers. These interactive, lab-based field trips allow students to work with high-tech biotechnology tools while engaging in scientific thinking. Funding is available for Alabama public schools to help offset the cost of these field trips, which include either a half-day or full-day program and lunch for experiences lasting more than 3-4 hours. Transportation and substitute teacher expenses are not covered. Schools should indicate eligibility when submitting the Field Trip Request Form to access this funding opportunity.
