Feel like relaxing, but also being outdoors? Here is your solution! Miami offers free film screenings on the SoundScape wall at the New World Center every Wednesday at 8 p.m. Movies take place rain or shine. These events are completely free to the public. Yoga in the park
If your group is looking to stay active while in Miami, there is no better way to do that than yoga classes in the park. Bayfront Park offers free yoga classes to the public. Classes take place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m. All classes are taught by a certified yoga instructor. Participants must be 18 years of age and bring their own yoga mat, towel and water. Beginner, intermediate and advanced yogis are welcome. Frost Art Museum
At the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University, admission is always free. The museum collects, preserves, researches, exhibits and interprets art from all cultures throughout history. Frost Art Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 12-5 p.m., but is closed on Mondays. New and exciting exhibits are always being displayed. Biltmore Hotel tour
Take a free leisurely tour of this historic Coral Gables hotel on Sundays at 1:30 or 2:30 p.m. There is much to learn about the famous hotel, whose history dates back to 1924. Stand in the same place as iconic celebrities such as Babe Ruth. This walking tour will not only provide you with a rich history lesson, but it will also give you a chance to take in the beautiful view of the grounds, which are known for their rustic Mediterranean charm. Little Havana
Explore Miami’s Cuban culture in the neighborhood of Little Havana. The neighborhood, home to colorful murals and recognizable monuments, is a source of excellent people watching. Calle Ocho, the main attraction of Little Havana, houses art galleries, fruit stands, cigar shops and ethnic restaurants. Walkway of the Stars pays tribute to Latin American celebrities. Biscayne National Park
Come see some of Florida’s most beautiful ecosystems—free of charge. Biscayne National Park has a number of activities that are sure to keep your group entertained. Observe many bird species and even earn your Biscayne Birding Trail Certificate. With 95% of the park covered by water, take advantage of the many activities the sea has to offer, including snorkeling, boating and sea turtle watching. The Dante Fascell Visitor Center houses a museum that showcases a virtual journey that explores the park’s ecosystems. It also features films that help educate guests about the park. Boca Chita Key is one of the most popular destinations in the park. It is home to a campground and a 65-foot ornamental lighthouse, which provides spectacular views of the islands, ocean, Key Biscayne and Miami skylines. Elliot Key is the park’s largest island and provides activities like camping, picnicking, swimming, hiking and wildlife watching. Adams Key has a short hiking trail. Biscayne National Park is also home to Heritage Trail, the only underwater archeological trail in the National Park System. Free park events include hikes, canoe trips and lessons, and snorkeling.
