• Theater: History isn’t always pretty, and The Story of Jacob’s Choice perfectly encapsulates that. Students visiting the theater can learn about the challenges Amish people faced and the faith, tradition, and love that allowed them to break through those constraints. Experience this 35-minute, epic journey with immersive special effects like wind, rain, smoke, and ghostly imagery.
• Amish House: Visit the Fisher Family Homestead for an authentic view of an Amish household. The home represents the fictional Amish family seen in the film. Experience Amish traditions, practices, plain clothing, and life without electricity.
• Fisher School: See what Amish educational traditions look like with a visit to The Fisher One-Room School. This unique classroom teaches eight grades in one room and showcases the unique experiences of Amish education.
• Amish Farmlands Tour: Students can take a bus through the countryside on this 90-minute guided Amish Farmlands Tour. Visit the heart of the oldest Amish community in the world while learning about farm practices, courting and weddings, and Amish technology,
• VIP experience: The Amish Experience offers a VIP (Visit-in-Person) experience like no other. Become guests in a genuine Amish household and experience their everyday lives! During a stay, guests can expect to visit a dairy farm and milk a cow, see Amish artisans in their workshop, and sit down with an Amish family in their home.
• Meal in Amish Home Experience: Take the experience to the flavor palate by enjoying a traditional Amish meal. The Amish Experience works with a family with a catering license who serves from a fully inspected and licensed ServSafe kitchen. Visitors can choose from a menu of vegetables; meats such as pot roast beef with gravy, baked chicken, and ham balls; pies or ice cream; and homemade root beer, along with other drink options.

Educational group visits are available year-round by reservation, with the museum welcoming groups of 15 or more students. Flexible scheduling allows schools to customize their visit with museum tours, educator-led lessons, and guided experiences throughout the historic site. Virtual programs are also available for classrooms seeking a distance-learning option, with sessions beginning at $100 for up to 50 students.
