Diverse Student Itineraries
The Kennedy Space Center’s itinerary plans help you curate each visit and make the most of its attractions. Half-day adventures take you on a bus tour behind the gates of the complex, into the must-see Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit with hands-on learning opportunities, through the hall of fame, to the larger-than-life rocket garden filled with real space shuttles, and finally to Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex that highlights the past and future of space travel. Half-day, full-day, and two-day itineraries give visitors guidelines for how best to use their time here.

Educational Programs
Explore the facility after closing with their Family After Hours Adventure. This program features six hours of fun, hands-on activities, educator-led challenges, and additional guided tours and explorations of multiple exhibits. Don’t want to leave? Students can spend the night in one of three exhibit halls and sleep among space exploration history for a one-of-a-kind learning opportunity. Each sleepover location provides students with a unique chance to explore space lessons after dark. A 4+ hour crash course provides students with an authentic astronaut training experience. They will solve real-life problems faced by NASA astronauts, navigate Mars terrain, experience the sensations of a spacewalk, and more. Over five to seven hours, students can experience what life on a Mars base is like as they live and work there for the day.
Space Camps
The Visitor Center also hosts students for Camp Kennedy Space Center International—a unique three- or five-day science camp. Using authentic NASA science, students spend their days solving science, technology, engineering, and math challenges. Students gain a truly immersive experience as they tour exhibits full of hands-on activities, live and work on Mars for the day, and train as the next generation of space explorers. This science camp offers all the best educational experiences for students in one program.
