Day 1: The Majesty of Water and Power 

Students begin at Niagara Falls, a global symbol of natural splendor and environmental history.

• Stop 1: Niagara Falls State Park. As the oldest state park in the nation, this site provides a classroom for geology and the engineering required to harness hydroelectric power.

• Stop 2: Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center. This museum reveals authentic stories of Underground Railroad freedom seekers and abolitionists in Niagara Falls, inspiring visitors to reflect on civil rights and social justice.

• Stop 3: Aquarium of Niagara. This non-profit public aquarium is dedicated to the education and conservation of aquatic life, featuring 120 species and rescued marine mammals. The visit also includes the Great Lakes 360 immersive experience.

Day 2: Buffalo’s Resonance and Heritage 

Buffalo serves as a cultural hub where stories of resilience and industrial triumph converge.

• Stop 1: The Buffalo History Museum. Students explore the history of Western New York, focusing on local heritage and connecting Buffalo’s past to the broader story of the region.

• Stop 2: Buffalo Transportation Pierce-Arrow Museum. This non-profit institution offers an authentic link to New York’s automotive heritage, highlighting the craftsmanship and engineering of Buffalo-built luxury cars.

• Stop 3: Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site. This site offers a unique, interactive experience for people of all ages to engage and learn about the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt as President of the United States.

Overnight in Buffalo.

Day 3: Rochester’s Legacy of Reform 

The final day focuses on reform, civic engagement and the evolution of storytelling technology.

• Stop 1: Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC). Students will explore three floors of hands-on, interactive exhibits in science, technology, and regional cultural heritage, including the permanent Flight to Freedom exhibit on the Underground Railroad.

• Stop 2: The Strong National Museum of Play. Students will dive into environments like Sesame Street and storybook worlds while building creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills. It’s an engaging, educational experience that blends play with meaningful learning.
• Stop 3: George Eastman Museum. A visit to the home of the innovator who revolutionized photography and film helps students explore how storytelling technology evolved in Western New York.

Overnight in Rochester.
