Summary

The Society of Indiana Pioneers awards up to ten $500 grants annually to encourage field trips related to early Indiana history. Grants can fund off-campus trips or in-school activities for schools unable to travel. Field trips can include transportation, admission fees, and meals, while in-school experiences may cover guest speaker fees, shipping costs, or reenactment expenses. Educators teaching Indiana history, U.S. history, Indiana studies, or pioneer-related content in disciplines like literature, music, and art are encouraged to apply, ensuring students can engage with Indiana’s historical legacy.
